Hourly rates are best for quick jobs such as consultations and or measured drawings, an option for la carte and as-needed work typically before or after a larger project

 

For Residential Projects

Basic remodels: You’ll pay anywhere from $2,500 to $10,000 on average for small remodeling jobs like a new kitchen layout, an outdoor living area or combining two rooms into one, typically 10% to 20% of the project cost.

Home renovations: Major overhauls of the interior or exterior of your home can push prices to between $5,000 and $20,000. An architect is a must-have for gut renovations, historical home upgrades and building home additions, again typically 10% to 20% of the project cost

 

New construction: I will charge between 5% and 15% of the total cost, or anywhere from $10,000 to over $300,000, depending on size and complexity

 

For Commerical Projects

A budget can be established based on a Percentage of the total estimated Construction Costs. These are estimates based on a typical project, but each project is unique and some services my not be needed, or additional services may need to be required. Typically, the larger the job, the lower the percentage, but this highly depends on the scope of the work. Flat fees are set by a percentage of the total project cost: New construction can cost as little as 5% whereas small renovations cost up to 20%
